      Before Steven Swancoat ever stepped behind a camera, he was first an artist. In 2010, as a third-year medical student now in New York City, his father’s simple encouragement—"give art a try"—set him on a transformative path.

    What began as self-taught painting eventually evolved into astrophotography, blending science and creativity through large-scale moon prints and mixed-media works. Then, in 2019, Swancoat took his artistic journey to the next frontier—documentary filmmaking.

    Swancoat has made over 500 paintings and works of art. He has had solo and group exhibitions in New York, Miami and Hong Kong. His work is also in the private collection of such celebrities as Lady Gaga & Susan Sarandon.
